Betadine® Veterinary Microbicides are not for use on food-producing animals. Povidone-iodine, the active ingredient in Betadine®, is active against a broad spectrum of pathogens in vitro.1

Antiseptic Microbicide

For Professional Veterinary Use Only

Use full strength for:

  • Preoperative prepping of skin and mucous membranes
  • Preventing bacterial infection
  • Emergency antisepsis of minor lacerations, abrasions, and burns
  • Postoperative application to surgical incisions

Uses:

  • For preparation of the skin prior to surgery
  • Helps to reduce bacteria that potentially can cause skin infection

For use on companion animals, including dogs, cats, and horses.

Antiseptic Sudsing Skin Cleanser

For Professional Veterinary Use Only

A Microbicidal Cleanser

  • For preoperative prepping of skin
  • For use on companion animals, including dogs, cats, and horses

Uses:

  • For preparation of the skin prior to surgery
  • Helps to reduce bacteria on the skin that potentially can cause infection

Warnings
For external use only.

Do not use this product

  • in the eyes
  • on food-producing animals

When using this product

  • prolonged exposure to wet solution may cause irritation or, rarely, severe skin reactions
  • in preoperative prepping, avoid “pooling” beneath the animal

Stop use and ask a veterinarian

  • if irritation and redness develop
  • in rare instances of local irritation or sensitivity

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
